    Shameless Self-Promotion Version 3.19

The Dead Air Fresheners are thrilled to once again
return to our favorite coffee pot shaped like a
tavern, Bob's Java Jive in beautiful Tacoma, WA on
    Saturday, March 19th!

The show is a 21+ Event featurning The Justin Show
(Justin Gorman from the O Show), Dead Air Fresheners,
and Ball with Tail (from PDX, OR ) for a mere $3 at the

The Java Jive features beer, wine, and some of the
worst coffee in the Puget Sound region, and a stage
that has hosted everyone from the Ventures, to Girl
Trouble, and the Sun City Girls! They also used to
have a monkey in the club until the health department
got all fascist on them, or so legend says.

The Dead Air Fresheners began making anonymous noises
in Olympia, WA back in 1997. They have continued on
ever since, mixing spacy electronics with post-punk
aggression in various incarnations which have
contained such luminaries as former members of Karp
and And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, as well
as members of Nice Nice, and of course underground
culture hero Chuck Swaim. Hard to tell who's in the
band at any given time though, as nearly everybody is
masked, and the masks get traded around nearly as much
as the many instruments. The most frequent current
line-up spans the Northwest with members based in
Portland, Olympia, and Seattle, and promises to
deliver an amorphous other-worldly experience. Eat
    the dead air.

Rumor has it that this current line up features a
masked rendition of Eric Ostrowski of noise-god duo
    Noggin at the violin.

(note Eric is the younger guy playing the guitar in
the photo at their website, kay? We don't have "the
old dude from Behead the Prophet" at this time, but
    we're still pretty cool.)

The show's tonight. Just loaded about 8 boom boxes, my moog, my wife's guitar, my bass amp, a couple maks, a t.v. vcr, a high-8 video camera, a box of NASA video documentaries, about a dozen cassettes of everything from my wife playing clarinet recorded frontwards and backwards to Christian motivational tapes, and a whole lotta cords and power strips in my poor car. There has to be room for a massage table in there too (not for the show though.)
