    (did this all day at work Friday. quite fun an hopefully annoyed a few people)

      Yarrrr! I'll have me some o' that!

      Actually, last summer I was working at a theme park where we had a "Pirate Festival", which required us to talk to like pirates for a full hour every day whilst entertaining the kiddies. At first it seemed quite good fun, but after the second or third day the novelty quickly wore off. It really hurts the throat after a while.

      Grrr, Jim-lad!! Hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for the Spanish Main. Pan lives? I'll keel-haul the lotta yer, etc.

        Yarrrr, 'tis hard on the gullet!

        Wonder how Robert Newton kept it up through two pirate films, 'Treasure Island' and 'Blackbeard the Pirate?' Maybe his voice was close to that in real life.
