Skysea - a lovely poem by Perdix and some Frascati

'Skysea'


Wouldn't it be wonderful
If all the skies were seas?

If birds were fish,
And winds were tides,
And dolphins lived in trees?

You'd see herrings,
instead of herring-gulls

In this aquatic-aeolian zoo.

But we'd all have to wear hard hats,
Because of Whaleshark poo.

I drank some Famous Grouse, DigiMac, and 'wrote' (constructed out of Meccano might be more appropriate) 'Spuyten Duyvil's Alpine Adventure' the first two bits of which I have inflicted here. That'll teach me.

Are you going to include this amusing little feuilleton in Prototype ? It's reminscent of Edward Lear, and I think it works pretty well. Great opportunity for some loony illustrations, too.

On a tangent, despite the fact that I adore Audrey Hepburn and am a huge fan of musicals, I actively despise My Fair Lady. Perhaps it's because all A-Hep does for the first half of the film is squawk (not even being allowed to sing her own songs!), or perhaps it's because so much screen time is spent in the company of 'Enry 'Iggins, who really is a deeply unpleasant individual. I would have happily helped Eliza do away with the chap, so that we could run off to a room somewhere. It also seemed to go on for about three days. I lost all track of time, and a large percentage of my will to live.

Sorry, I think it's time to climb the wooden hill to Bedfordshire! :)
