    A Cure for Cancer

Taking into account that the best dystopias reflect the times they were written in rather than a genuine attempt to prophesise, I re-read "A Cure for Cancer" recently and feel that the book captures accurately the spirit of the present times, what with the hawkishness of the current U.S. administration and the general climate of fear that seems to be pervading the lives of ordinary people these days. Granted, the world has always seen violence of varying degrees but the pitch of political hysteria seems more potent than ever at the moment. I feel your book has captured this mood from the vantage point of 1971.

Have you any thoughts on this?
