Hi,
I just registered to this site and wanted to say a few words as to why I am here. First, thanks to Michael Moorcook for writing some great books! I owe a great of gratitude for all the enjoyment the Elric series provided me.
Back in 1982 when in college, I had a friend who presented to me, a book that he claimed was must reading. The book was "Elric of Melnibone". I read the complete Elric saga in short order. I can't tell you how much I loved the series.
Of course, life took me in many directions.. work, marriage, kids, graduate school... But I always remembered Elric. I read a fair amount of fantasy, but nothing mesmerized me like Elric. But I never returned to the series... Until now.
Thus the quest has begun! To hunt down these books to be read, at least loosely, in the order recommended by the author.
