IG = Image Gallery (or Image Hive, as it is now.)
JC = Jerry Cornelius
MM = Michael Moorcock or Moorcock's Miscellany
MWM = Moorcock's Weekly Miscellany. The previous name of this site, still commonly used to distinguish from MM (Mike).
Nomads = The Nomads of the Time Streams are a group of fans devoted to the writings and music of Michael Moorcock, who publish the Time Centre Times (TCT), a 32-60 page quarterly newsletter that features contributions from Mike.*
NW = New Worlds Magazine. I think Wikipedia can explain better than me.
PX = Prototype-X. The Magazine of Cognitive Fiction created by Perdix. Also the forum which offered a haven for the users of this site after the cracking event . M(W)M's users killed it through weight of traffic.
S&S = Sword and Sorcery. An alternative name for the Fantasy genre. Also the forum set up by Azariel after(?) the cracking event that ended this site's previous incarnation.
*I am unsure how up to date this information is.

Many books are refered to by the initial letters of their titles (e.g. TRotR = The Revenge of the Rose, or TAoUPaCCitTC = The Adventures Of Una Persson And Catherine Cornelius In The Twentieth Century) but this usually happens after the book has been mentioned in a thread two or three times.
